These are our new die cast Driveline Banshee cases that we have been developing for the last 5 years. We have made a lot of changes to the OEM design while still retaining the stock look. We have added extra material in all the places the stock cases were lacking for today's larger stroke cranks and aftermarket cylinders. You can trench these cases up to a 14mm stroke without any epoxy or welding. The top case can be bored and machined to fit a DM cylinder and not break through on the sides of the transfers.
This set of engine cases are pre-trenched and will fit a 7mill or a 10mill crankshaft. The sealing area is much more on these cases because of the extra material we have added compared to stock cases that have been trenched for a 7mill or 10mill crank.
The folllowing items are included with every case set:
Top case cylinder studs: Qty = 10 ( we add two extra longer studs for cub style cylinders)
Lower case studs: Qty = 8Front and rear mounting dampners: Qty = 4
Case/side cover locating dowels: Qty = 3
Cylinder locating dowels: Qty = 4
Shift shaft bushing: Qty = 1
Shift fork shaft plugs: Qty = 2
Kick starter assembly mounting post: Qty = 1
CP Industries new sandcast crankcases are designed for the Ultimate engine builder in mind. Extra material has been added to area's that now allow us to install larger bore cylinders and larger stroke combinations without having to weld or epoxy like when using stock OEM cases. These cases are cast, heat treated, and then machined. A special TDR version will be available next year with a Cassette style transmission that will allow the transmission to be removed at the racetrack without removing the engine and splitting the cases. At a later time, there will be another option to go to a Yamaha R6 transmission that will be capable of handling way more horsepower that the Banshee/RZ transmission. Other options coming soon.
TDR has designed a Modular crankcase. The crankshaft part is separate from the transmission area. The transmission component is attached to the crankcase section using special hardware and indexed by dowel pins. The final machine procedure is done as a complete unit to assure perfect fit. This allows for larger more durable transmissions to be used. By upgrading to a stronger transmission, the larger drag race motors can use the already available transmission and clutch systems.
A full close ratio gearset for the RD350 and RZ350 with racing undercut dogs for fast, accurate gear changes and positive retention. With ratios optimized for racing, this gearbox will make for a large improvement in acceleration and top speed on the track.
We also offer a second set of ratios which are a little wider than the race set and will suit road bikes and street specials.
A new kickstart idler gear is included in the assembly and runs on a needle bearing to prevent the common wear issue of the standard part.
We supply the fully assembled input and output shafts ready to fit. All gears are Superfinished as standard.
Robbinson supplies us with lots of different drag race override and street bike close ratio transmissions. Give us a call to get more details.
Complete dry clutch setups are available.
1: Conventional dry clutch with extended main shaft, Ducati dry clutch components. Used with stock transmission. Also available is a close ratio race transmission as well. Contact for more info.
Even larger custom built engines are available for the Yamaha RZ based chassis. Contact us for more info.
The goal for the development of this kit was to adapt a Ducati compatible dry clutch to a RD/RZ 350 YPVS.
Naturally, with the further use of the original Oil- and Waterpump. The core element of this kit is the engine cover made from billet aluminium (6061T6). In this the other required components have a perfect fit. All the parts necessary for the transformation are included in this kit. Sintered metal friction plates are included as standard and these offer a great performance.
The biggest advantage of this dry clutch is that it can handle a high amount of power and torque without any problem – and this in combination with a surprisingly low actuation force. A nice side effect is that there is no more abrasion debris in the gear box oil.
By the way, the pictures are showing the testbike with the clutch kit: a TDR with a seriously „optimised“ 31K engine implemented. The bike had some permanent clutch trouble , that had been completely solved with the dry clutch.
The kit has been developed for 31k engines, and compatible types.
Cheetah Cub Cylinder is a custom race prepared cylinder that does not have a power valve. Port timings are designed for the fast street or race application. Ther are available in a large # of different bore & strokes. Well suited for the average racer and street engine. Special porting can be added at additional charges. Nikisil bore, Triple exhaust ports, 6 transfer ports, 2 boost ports, additional boost ports into the transfer area. Uses Banshee heads, domes, intakes, reed cages, etc. Slip on exhaust flange. Available sizes: 64 to 73.5mm bore, 54 to 68mm stroke, rod lengths 110 to 125.3mm. The 392cc 68 bore 115 mm stock stroke cylinder has become our recommended setup for best overall power and reliability.
The CP Industries Cheetah cylinder is available in 2 setups. Non power valve & power valve version. The non power valve version listed here is a great upgrade from the Cheetah Cub cylinder. The advantage is the larger reed cage area that makes more horsepower than the Cub cylinder.
Everything is the same :Nikisil bore, Triple exhaust ports, 6 transfer ports, 2 boost ports, additional boost ports into the transfer area.
Available sizes: 64 to 73.5mm bore, 54 to 68mm stroke, rod lengths 110 to 125.3mm. The 392cc 68 bore 115 mm stock stroke cylinder has become our recommended setup for best overall power and reliability.
The CP Industries Cheetah Power Valve cylinder is the Premier cylinder of choice for our Race & Street engines. With the addition of the power valve the overall power curve and performance is achieved. Paired with the Digital programmable Zeeltronic ignition the best overall GP Performance engine is available to the general public.
Custom street and race porting coupled with all the TDR-GP components will give incredible results.
The overall port layouts are the same as the non Power Valve Cheetah cylinder but with enhanced porting. All the same strokes and bores are available. 64 to 73.5mm and stroke from 54 to 68mm, rod lengths 110 to 125.3mm
We are currently designing a set of billet crankcases that will support the current single cylinders that are available from CP Industries and will be 523.0cc and up to 862.5cc . This will be the newer updated engine format that TDR will be developing for a large bore V Twin motorcycle. Honda use a similar layout with good success. More geared to the average race enthusiast and will be available for street chassis conversions as well. Put this into an old Ducati chassis for the Ultimate 2 stroke power package.
TDR-GP Tech will be designing our own single cylinder engines targeting some of the smaller GP style classes using available cylinder and transmission components. This will be installed in our chassis design that is already in development stages. They will be available in 250cc and up engine displacements.
